Port Arthur natives, Arthur. C. Guillory, James Duhon and Talmadge Armstrong released some great music as the Ascots, earlier spelled as The Escotts.  Recording on local Texan labels Spindletop, American Playboy and latterly Crazy Cajun they are responsible for some very collectible soul sounds including the highly sought after ‘A Few Feet From The Gutter’
