Bill Sharpe of Shakatak

Ex BBC studio manager Bill Sharpe made his first recording with his group Tracks in 1978 before going on to form the legendary band Shakatak in 1980.

Since then Bill has released 40 albums in as many years with Shakatak, plus collaborations with Gary Newman, Annabella Lwynn and Motorhead’s Fast Eddie Clarke to name but a few, collecting many accolades and awards along the way.

To commemorate their 40th anniversary Shakatak have released a special box set and are in the middle of a european tour; check their performance schedule here
