Singer, songwriter, producer and actor Teddy ‘Dutch’ Robinson was the original lead singer with the Ohio Players and stayed for their first 3 albums before leaving for a solo career that produced the modern soul classic ‘Can’t Get Along Without You’

Teaming up with long-time friend August Darnell, Dutch featured on several projects including Elbow Bones and The Racketeers, and Kid Creole and The Coconuts, a collaboration which continues to this day.

In the early 90s Dutch played the lead role in The Dream Of A Lifetime’, a critically acclaimed musical theatrical production on the life of Marvin Gaye which performed in New York, Toronto, Montreal and London.
