Born into a musical family, Canadian born Eric performed with groups The Pharoes and The Soul Searchers before relocating to New York and embarking on a solo career that took him to a variety of platforms including Stax, Motown and Columbia.

An all-round performer, Eric trod the boards of Broadway and also appeared on the silver screen in the movies The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh and American Hot Wax
