An American soul singer/songwriter, Sharon McMahon began her career in Detroit Michigan writing her first songs aged just 12, turning professional at 13 years old.

Ollie McLaughlin launched her song-writing career when he published and recorded her songs using artists including Barbara Lewis, Deon Jackson, Gracie Darnell and Johnny Mae Matthews.  In 1973 she left Detroit for California where she continues to write and record.
